Conpoto Celebrates Keeping Over $2,000,000 in Local Communities This Year

Community Currency Programs Have Kept Over $2,000,000 In Communities Nationwide

Holland, MI: Conpoto, a software company that streamlines and facilitates local commerce, is excited to announce that their local community currency partnerships have kept over $2,000,000 within local economies.

The Conpoto Community Currency programs are designed to support small businesses while ensuring the money stays within the local community. As the need to support local became increasingly obvious this year, Conpoto partnered with numerous new organizations such as chambers of commerce, downtown development authorities, and municipalities to implement these community currency programs throughout the nation. Each program dictates who is eligible to accept these certificates, and therefore who will then receive the funds from the certificate redemptions.

Matt Lepard, founder and CEO of Conpoto, describes this year’s success: “As a small business ourselves, we understand how difficult this year has been. We are extremely excited to say that despite facing a global pandemic, our programs sold more than ever before in 2020.  Seeing those funds flowing into local communities has been a bright spot this year. And we have to give a big shout to Consumers Energy for partnering with our local Michigan customers for matching over $500,000 purchases and helping local businesses.”
